Fished Saturday for 3.5 hours, caught 2 fish, both were bass, probably between 2-3 lb.‘s. Bite was incredibly slow, not much cover in this lake, the fish were not active. Probably what I should expect for fishing in February when it’s still chilly. The fish are still sluggish and February fishing can be a crap-shoot.

I fished there Sunday full day it turned on after lunch. Water was 50 degrees when i started warmed to 53 guess that was trigger. Caught about 15 total. No crappie though. I met landowner he said big crappie are there he said water needs to be about 60 degrees. I would have caught more bass I think if I had quit crappie fishing quicker bass were smashing little slab daddy spinner and kept missing them so I scrapped the crappie fishing. There are some good fish in there I lost one between 5 and 6 lbs.

Fished from shore on Sunday afternoon for both crappie and bass but caught nothing.  Had one good hit on a zara spook but nothing else. The lake itself looks very promising and I will be back.

This is jay my wife actually stayed home. Caught them on a white spinnerbait. I’m not big on white but someone else posted that’s what they did good on. Also used a red excalibur rattletrap. If your not familiar with this bait kinda looks like a rapala lipless crankbait. Costs little more than rattletraps but the paint don’t fall off them and they are DEADLY. Also done well with Chrome and blue one once spring ends. Started fishing them when joined club about year ago figured give fish something little different figured may have seen lots rattletraps. Did catch couple on black and blue lizard also. Also on that rattlebait I mentioned there’s two different ones the one that is the knocker model is the one. Sounds little different could be reason think you’ll like them if you try them
