Wow, it was WINDY! I don’t know if I could have picked a worse day to fish this lake. The wind was gusting upwards of 25 mph and it pretty much blew me off the lake. Now keep in mind this property is not the most scenic property in the club. It is pretty rough around the edges and when they warn you of snakes they are serious. I saw at least 5 while I was there. Now, for the fishing. I fished the main lake, parked at the dam on the south end and spent 2 hours fighting the wind. After 2 hours my trolling motor / battery couldn’t get me back to the south end over the 1 foot rollers where my truck was, so I had to beach on the south end and walk back to my truck. While I was walking back I ran across a 4 foot water mocassin. If it is going to be windy, you may want to consider another property as this one has little to no protection from a North or South wind. I probably caught 10 fish in 2 hours, the largest was about 1.5 lbs, the water is murky at best right now with about 6 inches of visibility. If it is wet, you can pretty much forget getting around this property without 4 wheel drive. I would really like to fish this property when the wind is calmer. Fished the 1st small pond on the way out and caught a few nice fish, again about 1.5 - pounds. Looking forward to going back and seeing what I can do. The boat seemed nice (I brought my own). Thanks for another good property Steve.

I’m glad our description was accurate with the wind, road conditions and snakes. If you can find a calm day, allowing you to fish a bit slower you can catch a ton. When I was out there two weeks ago, the water clarity was about 15”, which is where we want it. Not sure why it is at 6”?

I am pretty sure it was the wind stirring up the lake. I would bet that when the wind dies down the lake clears up somewhat.
