Fingerling
It was an incredible morning at 9G Ranch for my guest, Dr. Matt Bruno, who caught the biggest largemouth bass of his fishing career, 6.9 lbs. The big fish circled our jonboat twice before we could net her. He caught two others, 2.11 and 2.14. I caught two in the two-pound range and we harvested two and gave them to the landowner’s foreman, who was very appreciative. Water temp 61 degrees, air temp in the 40s and 50s, early cloud cover followed by bluebird skies. A huge front had passed through the area the day prior so fishing was sporadic. All bass were caught on KVD, red-eyed sexy shad medium-diving crank baits. Suffice to say, I now have the happiest dermatologist in North Texas as my new best fishing friend.
