A friend and I fished all day Saturday and a few hours on Sunday at Yates Places.  We fished hard for the fish we caught.  We managed to catch 75 fish throwing everything in the box.  They only wanted one color of soft plastic (pumpkinseed)  after trying ten different colors and we did fairly well on suspending jerk baits and good early on buzz baits.

The post spawn was in full effect on the big ones all though I did manage to wrestle a 10+ for a few moments before she threw the hook.

The fish were feeding on shad (we found many in the livewell after the fish regurgitated a few) and there was some evidence of schooling just starting in the open water.

The Yates family were very hospitable and the lake and accommodations were fantastic.
