Fingerling
It was a Big Day for me at 9G, catching my second-biggest bass in Texas….7 lbs. 15 oz., or as I prefer to round it off to 8 lbs. Took 5 minutes to land from our jonboat. Bill Morris handled the net. The fish was in 20 feet of water and bent my pole twice into the water and stripped the line before I could get her on top. Water temp 82 degrees, air temp 95, wind 5-10mph, scattered cloudy skies. Not saying what I used for bait, but if you read Ray Sasser’s column in the Dallas Morning News last Sunday, you’ll get a hint. Still excited from the adrenaline-rush that the fish created.
