My son Jack and I and his two boys fished a “double header” on June 16th - AM on 9G and PM on JerMar Lake. Both lakes were in great shape and the fishing was good.
9G has a lot of aquatic grass but remains fishable - the grass is keeping the water very clear. Perfect morning to fish -overcast with a light wind. Good topwater bite the entire morning. Most fish caught on Gunfish and Yellow Magic baits, plus wacky rigged worms and a few on lipless crankbaits. We had 23 bass and 2 crappie for the morning - great way to spend the morning!  9G is a pretty, well-kept place, and I hope the owners decide to open the bunkhouse to guests soon!  Jim Brawner
