Son (fly rod) and I (conventional and fly) fished the morning (first time on this lake).  Typical summer day as winds picked up as the morning went along.  Righthand side of lake as your looking at dam is very shallow and we got stuck.  There is a lot of grass but also a lot of edges and it is not to top of the water. Read Steve’s article about fishing in grass and had planned on using a fluke. Caught four bass, harvested 3, other was barely legal all on wacky worms. Trolling motor lost thrust around 11:15 at dam, fortunately the wind pushed us to the pasture side and we hooked up the Jon boat to back of my truck and carefully dragged it back to its proper location. Despite all this I like this lake and will be back.
