Toad
Fished Gallant Elms on July 20th from 7:30 AM until 6:30 PM from my kayak with a break for lunch from 12:30-2. I caught about 45, but nothing of any size.
Conditions:
Water temp: 78-82
air temp: 69-87
clarity: 2 ft
sky: partly cloudy (which was nice)
some breeze after 9 AM, again nice
Successful lures:
- Heddron torpedo (brown/chat, green/ivory)
- Rattle trap (sexy shad color)
- Weighted senko (green) with spinner blade in the end)
Grass was the primary feature in which i caught the fish. Nothing deep nor along clean banks.
I did talk with one of the son’s of the current owners and he is interested in managing the population and amount of extra grass.
The property is in need of some good rain, but the main body still shows depths of over 20 ft.

Bill,
Would you say that boat launch from the bank at current levels is possible?
thanks,
Dale.
