Fished Horseshoe with friend for 4 hrs Sunday morning and caught 1 bass between us. Very, very different lake from last month. Last outing was about how to beat the grass. . . this outing was about where the heck has the grass gone???
Water was stained (1st time) with zero visibility. the only grass we did pull out was dormant, black in color, and dried out. Not sure how this grass kill off happened in summer.
With no trees or cover, really need some grass for the fish.
threw frog, chatterbait, spinner bait, shallow running crank bait, medium running crankbait, swim baits, flukes, crappie jigs, suspending jerk bait, storm swimming minnow. . . .
Had some nice succes here in early spring; last couple of trips, not so good.

Terry I had very good day in early spring as well then in early summer had very tough day only 4 or 5 small fish and I worked hard to get them. Have you caught any crappie there? I didn’t have any luck either time on crappie. You might try clarksville I fished there Saturday very nice place had pretty good day there
