Fished 9G for the first time during the evening hours on 8-26. Beautiful body of water with a very nice boat for the members to use.  I started along the dam with surface baits and not one strike.  Got out into deeper water and marked plenty of fish in the 14-18 feet range.  Threw plastics, swimbaits and deep diving crankbaits and still no takers.  Wrapped up the evening with more zara spooks, frogs and poppers but zilch.  Got the best of me this time but I will be back.

I hate the fact that you did not get bit. But, I love the fact that you put your pride aside to admit it. That is hard for most men. 9G is too good a lake for you not to give it another chance.

Jack:  My various fishing partners and I have fished 9G at least a dozen times in the past year and NEVER been skunked.  Fewest bass we ever caught in half day of fishing was 6, the largest being in 3-lb. range.  This year, I’ve caught 6, 7 and 8-pound bass at 9G.  The ramp and launch is the best I’ve seen among Private Water Fishing sites, , and I’ve been to 10 or 12 of the lakes.  Give me a call before you go back and I’ll give you some tips on how to increase your hook-ups at 9G.

Bob,
Thanks. Without a doubt I will take you up on your offer. I marked a ton of fish but it was just one of those days.

Bob. I have been watching the reports for several of the Dallas properties (9 G , Malouf, JerMer,Triple J) as I will be in Dallas on Sept 21. I have decided to fish 9G and I am looking for any advice. I have a 45 lb thrust Minn Kota, sonar unit, and two batteries.

Also, if anyone would like to join me that would be good.
