Started fishing the West Lake around 6:15am with my wife.  She caught the first fish within 10 min on a brown torpedo.  Caught 5 or 6 on top water all within the 1 - 1 1/2 pound range.  Switched to a purple worm with no weight and caught 10 - 12 with the largest being 2 pounds - caught by my wife.  Using my fly rod, I caught several on a large white popper.  Fish were very active all morning and majority were caught at the dam.  My wife had a great day!  Definitely worth the trip to Ben Wheeler!
