Fished from 1 to 6:15pm.  Amazingly shallow lake. I found I did better fishing from shore than on the water. This lake fishes like “Mewbourn” for those that remember that site.  All my bites were on a white spinner bait and totally reaction bites. I got some great exercise as I walked entirely around the lake. ended up with 12 nice bass all 2 to 3 pounds. I saw a dead crappie floating on the west side that was at least 15 inches. A lot of bait fish in the lake.  The fishing are fat and healthy and gave my drag a good scream.  Pleasant day enjoyed lunch with my wife by the willow tree on the peninsula.
If you take kids out there watch out for fire ants.  Great day.
