I fished San Saba for the first time this weekend. What a place!  We stayed in the cabin Friday and Saturday night.  Great to have some place to stay on the property and go back to and cool off during the day.  We caught about 60 on Saturday with most of the fish consistently in the 2-3 lb range. Several in the 4-5 lb range, with a couple over 5, and an occasional crappie along the way.  We fished Sunday until about 11 and caught another 20 or so. I caught our largest fish Sunday morning at 7 lbs 5 oz.  There was little wind over the weekend, so it was pretty hot. Key to success seemed to be changing lures and color often. Alot of the fish were off the deeper weedbeds out from the bank as the sun got up.  Good topwater action in the back of the lake at dark.  Excellent place to fish. What a property this owner has.
