Is there any interest in doing a group trip?  My entire month of April is wide open and I sure am guilty of getting in a rut.  I’m going to snoop around and see if I can find a picture of the fish I caught at Crabgrass.  These lakes are awesome guys and if we could get a few of us with boats committed we could have a PWF weekend getaway.  It would be fun to stay for a weekend and get to fish the different lakes.  You guys chime in you have any interest in going.

That’s something I would be interested in. I’ve been eyeing that place since came available. Should we allow spouses or not? Lol. I’ve got my wife into bass fishing now but she’d let me get away if I wanted I’d break it to her gently lol. Y’all let me know I’ve been in club almost 2 years now and have only met few of y’all at fish fry couple years ago. Let me know I can take off work with a little advance noticed. Let’s look at the weekend before Easter, April 12th and 13th, and see if there is any interest in fishing up there.  The weekend after Easter is booked.  This should be prime spawning time up there I would imagine.  I would think spouses would be fine as long as we can get the lodging handled.  If anyone has any interest in going but needs another weekend just say so. 

I’d love too and I’m sure Kirby would as well. We dont have a boat YET but the search continues. Any dates in mind yet?

I’m sure Easter weekend is out for most people and the weekend after that is booked up.  You guys look at heading up there on the 11th (or early on the 12th?) and we could put in a full day on Saturday the 12th and then fish half a day on the 13th before heading home.  Any thoughts on this?  I think my wife might come too but she doesn’t fish.  She has schoolwork to do and we can maybe get a meal out of her. ;)

The 11th sounds good to me like in afternoon. I live probably at least 3 hrs from where that is. Already told wife don’t think I’d get away with leaving her home. Lol let me know for sure and I’ll put in for time off.  I don’t know how reservation works guess they would just bill us desperate. Guess we’d need to figure which lakes we wanted to reserve and for what day. Just call me or email me its a go for me

Thanks for coordinating this opportunity. If guys want to come without their wives, perhaps a group with the wives in the cabin or lodge and the guys in the other facility?

I should be able to fish Saturday the 12th. I’ll just drive up that morning. Can’t spend night. It will be good to meet all of you guys!

After speaking with Jay, it looks like this will we a guys trip (so far anyway).  Phillip, please consider coming.  I think we can fish 6 to 8 of us without it being crowded.  Jon, glad to have you!  We can figure out who’s fishing with who after we get a good idea of who’s coming.  Anyone else thinking of coming? 

I reserved lodge guys for Apr 11 and 12. But not any lakes yet. Figured we might need to know who was going for sure etc before booking any lakes? Hart lakes already booked for Saturday and Sunday morning just heads up!

After a meeting of the minds, it’s now looking like the group trip is leaning toward the dates of March 29th and 30th.  This should be spawn or pre-spawn conditions with just about every fish in the lake moving up into the shallows to reproduce.  Jay and I would head down on Friday the 28th and there’s room for plenty more.  I think 6 people would be an ideal number to rotate through the lakes and have plenty of new water to fish.  Jon Frank, Shaun Cobb, Phillip, etc….  You guys chime in if you can make it.  We’ve got the entire property reserved for now and as long as a few more of you are interested we will keep it that way.  You guys without boats don’t hesitate to speak up as it looks like those of us going will all be bringing a boat.  This will be a great time to put some faces to the names, catch some fat OK bass and tell some tall tales.
