We will catch you on the next on Phillip and just torture you with our pictures.  So far we have….  Jay Reese and I both bringing boats.  We have Zach Milwood and his dad coming in their boat.  Chris Casner is coming and will jump in with me or Jay.  That is five of us so far with room for more. 

I don’t know if there is WiFi at the lodge or not but if we can get an internet connection I can jump online and show you guys the sonar logs that I have from the last time I was there.  There are some GREAT brush piles, underwater points and ledges we can hit though the majority of our focus will be the shallow water.

Don’t let the lack of 4WD keep you from coming either.  We have plenty of trucks coming to get the job done.

Thanks for the update guys.  I’ve got an email out to Chuck Cherry and it looks like Brian Long is on the fence as well.  Cory told me that he and David are considering coming also.  In my opinion, we don’t want more than 8 of us so that we all have some time on the favorite lakes.

I’m definitely there guys. I’m coming by myself so I got empty seat in my boat just fyi for anybody wants to come by themself.

Okay gang….  Here’s the official list of those going to Cody Ranch for the group trip.  I’m posting this because I’ve spoken to a lot of people and I don’t want there to be any confusion on who’s going and who’s not.  If you are not on the following list, I have forgotten that we spoke and please tell me as soon as possible.  My opinion is that we should limit the number of people to eight so that there are enough lakes that we each get some new water and the favorite lakes aren’t too crowded.  I’m not one to bicker over fishing pressure or sharing a lake and if you are, this may not be the trip for you.  We’ve got a great group going so far and it looks to be a fun outing.

Jackson I have not looked at this site for a while as I have grandkids in soccer and volleyball every weekend. However if you need 1 more with a boat I would love to make the trip. Could go up Friday and stay thru Sunday . Just keep me in mind if someone cancels . Thanks

We are less than a week away so let’s finalize our plans.  Seth will be contacting each of you to find out the specifics of your trip.  I know some of you are only fishing Saturday or staying only one night.  I’m still uncertain as to what time I will be arriving on Friday.  It might be pretty late, unfortunately.

You guys that have the option to bring your boat can you sound off so the others can hear what you are doing?  We will need at least five boats and it looks like we easily have that covered.

Another thing….  Zach Milwood has graciously offered to fry our fish for us there on the property Saturday night to enjoy with a frosty beverage of your choosing.  I think it’s a GREAT idea.  However, we will need some help filleting the fish, preparing the sides, etc.  Can any of you chip in to help?  Obviously we need everyone to keep their fish below fourteen inches. 

The mornings will be chilly gents so dress appropriately.  I was thinking we just draw for co-anglers once we get there unless anyone else has a better suggestion.  We will also talk about the lakes that we will fish once we get there.  Most of these lakes can handle two boats but we may have to rotate if some of you have your heart set on fishing a certain lake.  There are so many things still unknown about this property that I would encourage each of you to keep an open mind about the lakes you will be fishing.

My plan is to arrive Friday, but not sure if I will fish Friday or not.  Depends what time I can get away.

I do plan to fish all day Saturday and a half day on Sunday.

By my count, we have 9 fisherman.  Assuming no more that 2 per boat, looks like both Richard and I need to bring our boats.  That means one boat will have a single fisherman, which is not a problem for me.

Looks like the Lodge only sleeps 8.  So will one or two need to sleep in the cabin?  If it makes it easier, I can bring my truck camper and sleep in it.  That way, everyone else can fit in the lodge and the cabin won’t be needed.  Just let me know.  Not sure what lodging plans were made.

The lodge is listed as sleeping 8 because there are only 6 beds, two of which are queen sized. The way we have it set up right now is for 6 guys to stay in the lodge and 3 to stay in the cabin, so that each person has their own bed.

We’ve had Sion drop off the list so we are back at an even number.  Don’t let that discourage any of you from making a last minute decision to come with us.  Though we haven’t gotten a big response regarding the fish fry, I think we should still bring everything to have one.  We can make a last minute decision NOT to do it and just go into town to eat.  Steve needs fillets for the fish fry on the 12th anyway so they won’t go to waste either way.  Marty, don’t bother with your camper but bring your boat if it isn’t too much trouble.  I’d rather have an extra boat just in case we need it.

Are any of you gifted with a camera?  We need to be sure and get photos.  We got zero this past weekend and I’m always sorry afterward that we didn’t make a point to take some.  If someone can be in charge of this it sure would help.

Hey guys I had something come up Sunday can’t fish Sunday but coming up Friday night fishing all day Saturday and staying Saturday night. Work related stuff. Fish fry Saturday night sounds cool or whatever I can bring bag of fillets I have 3 but I’ll be at fish fry on april 12 also I can bring something else also if we’re set on frying fish

I’ve got a nice DSLR, a GoPro, and a quadcopter that records video as well.  Was planning on getting some action footage as well as some pics for the website.  As discussed with Steve, I can bring a fryer, oil, and an electric filet knife.  As long as someone is willing to help with cooking and bringing extras (potatoes, cajun batter, coleslaw, etc.) I think we will have a great time!  Ready to go!

Cory and others have offered a ride up, however they are returing Saturday night - I’m all in thru Sunday.  So need a ride back or if anyone else is going up wihtout a boat and staying the whole time I can drive.  Email is best way to reach me, see above address.
