Back in the day when the club was Great Texas Bass Club I fished this lake a lot. I left the club in 06 and rejoined in 13.The lake looks a little different but the fishing is the same ;fished on 2-18-14 from 12:00/3:00 boated 20-22 fish in that time. the largest around 4 1/2 to 5 most in the 2-3 Lbs. class. would have caught more bad wind. Grass is still down visibility 3-4 feet so fishing is pretty easy make long casts try for crappie next trip .Water temp 54 deg.

Dale,
Glad you caught a bunch. I want to paint a picture of this lake for those who have not fished it. The fishing is usually very good, in fact before I bought the club I felt this lake maybe the best kept secret in the entire club. Please note that this lake is difficult to fish and after mid April it is so choked out with coontail moss that it is not something most anglers would not enjoy. Moreover, the lake is difficult to launch any type a boat other than a kayak or float tube. About 50% of the lake has silted in with cattails. I don’t want to discourage you from fishing here, but please understand the circumstances. We tell people you really have to want to fish here as conditions are tough. For some the tough conditions make the reward that much sweeter.
