My favorite lake was a bit disappointing Saturday morning 3/1.  Completely overcast, with a pretty strong NE wind, and a cold water temp combined to make it a tough day.  The good news is that the lake was up to the highest level I’ve seen in 2 1/2 years, so there is plenty of area to fish.  Bad news is the usual vegetation wasn’t present.  I have caught countless fish on grass beds there, but there were none at this time.  I caught one fish out of two bites in 5 1/2 hours.  Granted, it was a 3.9lber, but still would’ve liked to catch more!

Can’t wait for the weather to make up its mind and Spring to get here!
