Member Kirby Brewer and I fished at Bennett Lake on Saturday, March 8.  Six hours of fishing resulted in 14 bass and one catfish.  The fish ranged between 1 1/2 lbs up to 4 1/2 lbs.  All were taken on 10 1/2” power worms, with the exception of the largest one which was taken on a lipless crankbait.  No dinks and all fish were healthy and fat.  Still not relating to the shoreline, most were taken 10 to 15 yards off the shore.
