Went to Lake Side for fishing and lodging with my 9 year old son, for a Spring Break trip.  My wife stayed home this trip.  It was overcast or raining, windy, and cool in mid - low 50s during our stay.

Had several showers Saturday, requiring rain gear.  We/I got in 2 -3 hours of fishing, each day, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

The coon tail moss is right at the surface in the medium to deeper areas of the lake, in scattered patches ranging from about the size of a round patio table to a large car.  At the bank and out a foot there is that stringy snot grass.

I don’t think the grass is very bad yet.  I primarily threw spinner baits, plastics, and square bills.  We caught 3 or 4 bass on Saturday around 15” each on spinners.

My son’s attention span for fishing is usually about 30 minutes unless the action is fast, so didn’t fish real serious but the action was slow.

We really enjoyed the cabin as usual.  This cabin is very clean, comfortable and has everything you might need.

Did you happen to get the water temp. How full was the lake?

Thanks
