Fished from noon to 6pm. Eight bites and caught 4 with my fishing partner.  All fish were 2-3 lbs, healthy.  Was worried about the effect cormorants have had on the lake, but these larger fish showed NO cormorant bruises.  However, the 20+ cormorants moved to the opposite ends of the lake throughout the afternoon while we fished as far away from them as possible.
Otherwise, we saw significant pre-spawn activity with several males fanning the nests…their tails actually sticking out of the water.  Water was 64 degrees,  while air temperature was 70.  Bluebird skies and 5-10 mph winds.
