Fry
Fished Saturday Afternoon from 1:30 till 7 pm with new member, Frank Tiner. he joined up on Sunday morning. Nice big boat, only hit each other once. This is a great lake, water was up to docks and slightly off color. Lots of new flooded banks and shallows. Second fish of day for Frank went about 5#. We then proceeded to catch between 60 and 70 fish, all around 1 /12 to 2# with a couple a little bit bigger. Most all were caught on plastics caught about 4’ from bank. I caught some on spinnerbait and rattletraps but switched to plastics as Frank kept catching while I was casting. Before we left Frank caught another 5#, we weighed it.
This lake is really nice and peaceful in a perfect location, away from everything. Did not see owner, did not look like anyone is even living there. Will go back in a few weeks when the spawn starts, water was still to cold and the front that came thru on Saturday night probably pushed them back again.

Marshall,
If you wait a few weeks the spawn will most likely be over or mostly over. I would fully expect the fish to be on the beds within the week and finish spawning by mid April. Next 2 to 3 weeks should be some of the best fishing of the year. I think we are 10 days to 2 weeks behind a typical year.
