All the time I’ve been to Julian this was the slowest. This has always been a reliable20 to 50 fish lake no matter what time of year. We managed to catch 10 fish for the afternoon. Of the ten we harvested 2 fish.  The rest of the fish were 15 to 16 inches. No beds, no fish shallow. The lake is full and water going over the spillway. Caught them on a variety of baits. It was also the first time I noticed filamentous algae when throwing plastics. I had high hopes of having a banner day.
I always would tell my partner on our ride home on I 30 when we would past someone hauling a boat that we probably caught more fish than them. Yesterday was not the case.
