Fingerling
Four of us PWF members put in 2 boats at noon and fished til 7pm and only caught and released 9 bass. Two 3-pounders and the rest were smaller. The largest, 3.7 pounds, had already spawned. Extreme winds of 30mph sustained, gusting to 40mph. White caps on the lake. Temp 72, water temp 62, bluebird skies with some clouds late in the day. Saw an “armada” of grass carp several times throughout the lake, some in the 20- 30-lb. range. A flock of cormorants bothered us throughout the afternoon, as if the wind wasn’t enough to deal with. All in all, a very tough fishing day.
