Spent the weekend at Cody Ranch at the Cabin (Hart Lakes) with two of my favorite fishing buddies, my son and my brother.  Met the owner Steve Cody, who is an outstanding gentleman.  His cabin is very, very nice.  Many amenities you wouldn’t expect in a hunting/fishing cabin.

Abundant wildlife on the ranch.  We saw deer, ducks, several Canada Geese on the nest, and even saw a Bald Eagle fishing with us on Upper Hart Lake.

Windy conditions, especially the second day, made tube fishing somewhat of a challenge.  Still, we had a great time, and caught quite a few fish between the 3 of us.  We spent about a third of our time at Upper Hart, a third at Lower Hart, and a third at Moonshine.  Most (about 90%) of the fish were 14” or under, but healthy.  Cleaned a lot of fish and had a great fish fry the first night.  Caught 6 larger fish, the largest 5 lbs., my son caught on Lower Hart.  Most fish caught on plastics.  Some fish still had eggs in them.

This is a great place.  We will be back.
