My brother Joe Bedore and I fished a half day at Melody Acres in high winds on Sunday morning.  We managed to catch 32 fish but only one that was large enough to return to the lake (16 in).  The rest were virtulaly all yearlings in the 10in range.  It was difficult to stay in position in the wind.  Most of the fish hit finess worms.  We had a lot of fun but I guess we should have been in church.

As a Melody enthusiast, I really appreciate you harvesting the little guys, John.  I try to do the same and it does help the fishery.  Still seems odd to watch a fish jump and ask if it is small enough to be a keeper, though!

When I was out there earlier in the year I noticed an explosion of 5 to 6 inch bass, probably related to tree structure habitat placed in the lake the last couple of years.  More small fish survive predation now.
