This is always a fun spot to go catch a lot of fish even though you aren’t going to catch a wall hanger.  Took a guest and got there about 5 PM.  Thought we were going to get blown off the lake with an approaching storm cloud and huge winds.  After getting a little shower it blew over so we broke out the fly rods.  We fished nothing but fly rods and had a ball catching all the lb or lb and a half bass.  The lake really needs to have several hundered pounds of bass taken out so these fish can grow and cut down on the competition.  It’s loaded with small bass but terrific fun on the fly.  I caught a 7.6 years ago, and the landowner says a 10 has been caught but haven’t caught big fish there in several years.

Doug. Thank you for taking the time to post. Perhaps the biggest fish ever caught in the 14 year history of the club was caught on this lake. There is a picture of this fish in our member photo section. Unfortunetly, there was no scale for this fish. But if memory severs me, the dimensions of this fish put into a fish weight calculator had the fish over 14 pounds. I plan to meet with the landowner July 6th and we will discuss the possibility of removing the smaller stunted fish. It is a beautiful site with lots of big fish, you just have to fight through too many small ones.
