Fingerling
We caught 15 healthy, hard fighting fish today, including my new personal best at a club lake- a 7 pounder that fought me for almost 5 minutes. Also caught 2-3lb, 1-4lb and 2-5lb bass all despite of a howling wind that forced me to use my trolling motor at 2/3 power all morning to maintain position of the boat. Unfortunately with 2 grown men in the boat for the first time, we burned thru the battery & ended up having to paddle to shore, leave the boat & walk back to the truck, unhitch the trailer & drive back home to retrieve my other battery, come back to the lake & drive it around to the boat. Thank goodness the grass wasn’t too high for my truck. ( I will always
take both batteries in future!) So that’s why I called it the good,
the bad & the ugly @ 9-G ! Good fishing, bad weather & planning, and ugly finish ! On the bright side, my guest enjoyed himself in spite of all the rowing & walking !
