Took my Father In-law to Yates on 05/11PM and 05/12 AM fishing trip.

Lake is in perfect condition.  Full pool and great water condition with limited weeds to speak of.  Water was close to 80 degrees during mid day heat.

I wish I could say we had big fish and numbers, but we did not have either.  Not sure if the pre front for all the rain on Tues-Wed shut the bite down or we didn’t know what we were doing!  We did catch fish, but all under the slot limit.  I did hook one big fish that came off.

Flukes were the bait they were hitting - Didn’t figure this out until the second day.  I only had the small size - wish I would have packed some larger.

This property if awesome.  Perfect layout and great lodging conditions.  Mr. Yates is a great host and spent some time with us going over the property and telling us about the lake construction and history. 

We are lucky to have a property like this in the club.  If you haven’t been, get yourself a reservation.  You will not be disappointed.
