My son, Scott, and I finally found the property and the gate to the launch site around 7 a.m. on Saturday.  Neill Ranch is one location where GPS is a must.

Started the morning with Booyah Pip-Squeak in Tennessee Shad and Chartruese White Terminator.  Picked up 7 before getting to the main lake.  Scott switched to crankbait w/o much luck and then tied on a 1/8 oz Bettle Spin with a spinning rod.  His hook ups began almost immediately and my buzzer continued to work well.  We had 15 by the time we made it to the dam.  Fished the standing timber and feeder creek w/o a bump; same with the island.  By 10 a.m. the fish had moved to the deeper (10’-12’)  water at the S. end of the lake in submerged timber.  Scott nailed 3 nice fish on 3 casts with a Gold/Orange Rat-L-Trap.  From 11-3 p.m. the bite was slow and we picked up a few scattered dinks on a variety of square billed cranks, spinners, and plastics.  Just after 4 p.m. we started back on the moning pattern and sure enough the fish had moved back into the shallow water and were taking cahrtreuse/white Terminators, Sexy shad shallow cranks and buzz baits.  The big fish of the day came on a Buzz Bait around 6:30 p.m. off a point that we had chunked to10x during the day w/o even a swirl.
All together we boated 70+ fish, culled 3, and had a great day on the water.  Wind (7-15 mph) was not a great factor as the lake is surrounded by higher wooded terrain.
Regarding the previously reported parasites, we noted that the smaller fish tended to have quite a few spots, while the older larger fish were often clean.

Inquiring minds want to know how big the big fish of the day was?

Only 3 fish 14 inches and smaller out of 70+. Nice!!!
