Started @ dawn, no topwater bite; sky cloudy, water temp 76.
Slow for first 2 hrs. then small ones started hitting. A little windy but not too bad. Hour 3 started with losing 2 good ones;
Gotta set the hook better! The rest of the morning, bites were pretty much non-stop with several 3 pounders, several 2 pounders, a pair of 4 pounders, and on the LAST cast I landed a 5 1/2 pounder that had a fresh cormorant wound on
it’s back just below dorsal fin ! Quite a mouth full for that bird!
Anyway, finished the 1/2 day with 13 caught and returned.
Let me know if anyone caches a 5 + pounder with a scar on
it’s left side. Tight lines to all!
