The Yates’ place has apparently been blessed with an abundant shad spawn this year. In turn, the voracious bass are attacking them all over the lake in schools.

I found schools in both creeks and just in front of the houses which provided plenty of action. These aren’t all just small fish either, there’s some fatties mixed in.
In the evenings and early morning the frog bite was decent along the banks and frogs are always fun to fish.

The Yates keep the place immaculate and are always generous hosts. Another great trip to Longbranch.

p/s… Get Dwayne to show you the huge female that he feeds in the evening at the dock. It’s quite a show.
