Member Mike Svoboda and I fished Leaky Lake on Sunday afternoon from 12:30 to 6:30 PM.  It was a very hot day, maybe even a 100 degrees, with little to no wind and mostly clear skies.  We had a very good afternoon, catching 25 between the two of us.  All were solid fish, with only two dinks being caught.  The biggest fish caught was 24” and weighed right at 8 pounds.  We caught most on crank baits in the creek channel and on the outside edges of weed beds in the main parts of the lake, especially on the opposite side from the boat house where there is a small dock.  We also found a brush pile in the middle of the lake in about 9’-12’ of water that produced some nice fish.  It also took back a few crank baits from us.  This is a great lake with a lot of deep water.  The owner’s boat is first class, as well as the dock area.  Sure made loading and unloading a lot easier.  Also saw a lot of deer, including a bunch of fawns.
