Member John Bedore and I spent a pleasant but hot 5 hours at Thompson Ranch on Saturday, July 26th. The bite was as hot as the weather with primary results coming on wacky rigs, swimming soft plastic, and Pop-R's. We fished mid morning and late afternoon, with the bite being steady throughout. We ended up with 76 bass with only two less than 12 inches. This is a significant step-up in bass quality over previous trips. The water color was very good and there was just enough above-water growth to make for a good frog fishing setup.
