Member Mike Svoboda and I fished Crabgrass lake late Saturday afternoon.  We fished Moonshine first, then went to Crabgrass about four pm.  In two and a half hours, we caught 17 bass, 9 of which we harvested, 1 crappie, a sun fish and a blue gill.  No big fish.  We did have a difficult time figuring out how to get down to the lake after we went through the last cattle guard and then a gate.  While the road off to the right marked in red on the map is well worn, no one has been down to the lake in a long time, so the weeds had all gown over the road to the left marked in black on the map.

There really is not a road.  Your really just driving through a field once you go through the last gate before the lake.  If your mini van has pretty good ground clearance, you should make it down to the lake OK.  Also, by the time you go, maybe the land owner will have mowed a trail down to the lake.  There is not very much moss on the lake.  The lake is small and about half has some pretty deep water which is open.  The other half is 3’-4’ and there are more weeds/moss in that section.
