Hey, y'all: I fished Melody for about 4 hours in the heat of the afternoon 10/10/14. Caught a slew of small fish, primarily on a 7-inch Zoom lizard, TX-rigged, in "Big Texan" color. I caught one just over 14-inch, but the rest were small, down to dink sized, and harvested 8. I caught a few on random crankbaits, and a couple on wacky senko and weightless trick worm. Fish were scattered, and oddly I didn't do well off the submerged damn. I did see a couple bigger fish chasing things in the weeds, but couldn't get a taker. Nice property, and the owners came out to meet me, opened the gates, and told me where the best spots were. The afternoon ended up hot, and storms chased my off the lake about 4:30 pm. Next up—Black Hat!
