Member Frank Tiner and myself fished Bennett lake on Saturday the 18th from around 1 to 7 pm. It was a beautiful day to be out and the lake is in great shape. Water was very clear and still up to the docks. We ended up with around 20 fish total with 1 at 2 1/2# and 2 pushing 5#. I use the Boga Grip scale which is spring loaded and doesn't work to good for weighing fish but is great for landing big fish. Caught the big fish on crankbaits in deep water at edge of dam and all the rest came off the bank. Frank lost a good one on 10" worm in deep water. Used Franks new Pond Prowler, real nice easy boat with lots of room. Seats are padded and swival and we didn't tangle lines with each other at all. This is a real nice lake, secluded and quiet. We wll be back in a few weeks after a couple of cold fronts. Water was not to cold and a mild front came in early that morning which we used as an excuse for not catching more fish. It did make the day very comfortable for being out there.
