Arrived at sunrise on October 23 and fished from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.  The weather was perfect and it was a four star solunar day according to huntfishsport .com.  Caught 16 including 4 small bass and 1 crappie that were harvested. Of the bass returned to the lake, 5 were in the 2 1/2 to 3 lb range and one at 3 1/4 lbs.  All were caught on a white chatterbait with a white grub trailer.  The lake is full and clear, about 3 ft of visibility.  There are no surface weeds but a lot of weeds about a foot below the surface in many areas of the lake.  That's why the chatterbait works so well.  Spinnerbaits usually do well also, if you reel them in quickly to keep them above the vegeatation.

For those of you who have not visited Julian Lake, especially those of you like me that don't have their own boat,  Bill Julian always has the boat in the water, tied to the dock with the trolling motor and battery hooked up and ready to go. It is a great place to take a guest or child because it is so convenient.
