Two of us arrived at arounfd 6:45 am. We had overcast skies and dead calm wind conditions and slick surface conditions. There was little surface activity, but we initially fished surface lures and buzz baits with no success. I had a few taps on a worm, but did not put any fish in the boat. We caught between 30 to 40 fish pretty much all on chrome rattle traps run quickly above the moss in more open water. Unfortunately, all fish with the exception of perhaps 3 were in the 6 to 9 inch class. We did not catch anything larger than 12 inches.

It appears there are a large number of smaller fish in this lake, but I would have to agree it’s one of the most senic lakes I have seen in Texas anyway.

We headed bach home around 11 am due to heavy rain.

I think I will request a different location next trip although.

Mondo Man.
