Today was my first trip to this ultra-beautiful property. I elected to fish it because it's spring-fed, and I assumed that the water would be warmer than at our other waters. Water temp ranged from 54 to 58, depending upon where I was. No diacernible pattern most of the day, and although it was slow, I did manage to harvest some and catch a dozen or so over 2 lbs. biggest two of the day were lost at boatside because of stupid mistakes. One would have gone over 4 and the other over 5. One 17.5" bass weighed just over 2 lbs.  the topwater bite was good early on a silver #11 Rapala and a purple buzz bait, but really turned on around 4:00. The "bait of the day" was a Yellow Magic Magnum in baby bass color.

Successful lures:  Yellow Magic, Rapala, purple buzz bait,  black 4" worm on dropshot rig, black/blue flake Senko (weightless wacky rig), purple H&H with hammered copper willow leaf blade

What didn't work:  gold Rapala; green pumpkin, watermelon, and natural brown worms; jig & pork; swim baits; and crankbaits
