My friend Bob Gage and I took MLK Day to enjoy some long overdue fishing.  While we knew it was going to be on the cooler side, the relentless wind made it much cooler than expected!  Air temp started at 41 and didn't really warm up until we were on our way out.  Water temp was only 41.  As such, we didn't have a whole lot of topwater bite!  The fish were deep.  We fished from 7am to 11:30am, and Bob ended up with (3) nice fish ranging from 2.5-3lbs.  I had one bite and one fish, but she was a beauty - 4lbs 10oz.  All 4 fish were caught on deep diving crankbaits in 14-20ft of water.  Not one single bite on anything else, and we threw senkos, C-rigs, Rat-L-Traps, flukes, the works.  Had a great time as always!

One last note: As we launched we saw about 4 Nutria - those suckers were big!
