When I saw this week's weather report last week, even though I was swamped at work, I just had to get on the water for the first time in 2015…What's better than 4 days in a row over 70 degrees this time of year?  Not much that is printable to decent folks ;)   So, I logged onto PWF…saw that all but one of my favorite lakes were available for this Weds…and immediately began scheming how I could break away from work Weds afternoon to partake in the big bass pre-spawn staging event that was fixin to happen.  Well, a lot you must have had the same bright idea, because on Tuesday AM, I reached out to Steve Alexander who told me that Cabin Fever had hit the club members hard and I should book a lake right away.  So, I immediately went online and was shocked to see all 4 of my favorite properties booked!!  So, I decided to try out a new spot…Glad I did.  It was hard to pull away from work when I wanted too….as a couple of urgent matters came up just as I was walking out the door, but I finally made it to the lake by 2 and fished until sunset around 6…glad I made it.  Fishing from the bank, caught 5 bass from 2.5 to 5.5 pounds.  All were very chunky, strong with beautiful markings along their lateral lines.  Also caught wome very nice white crappie.  The fish in this lake are very healthy.
