My 12 y/o son and I got a late start but fished for about four hours (11-3:00) at a new lake in Kennard.  I had a chance to meet the land owner (Scott) and he explained to me the history of his lake.  It was our first trip as a member and we had to travel about 2.5 hours but was worth the trip.  Any day fishing with your son is worth traveling around the world and back.  That being said, we caught 43 fish between 10-14" and 7 15-18" (2-3 LB).  The fish fight hard and the lake is very easy to fish with water clarity about 4 feet.  This is a very peaceful setting with lots of action.  We even sighted a bald eagle and 5 deer.  Our Good Friday was great at Lake Boatwright!
