Guest and I fished on Friday from 8AM until 4PM. This has been the most fun trip I've had on a PWF lake since I joined last year. We caught 35 fish with the biggest being 4.89. Also caught a 4.05 on a watermelon/red senko for my last cast before we pulled up to the dock. The fish are healthy and fight hard, and we only had 4-5 fish total that were dinks.
Our best fishing came along the dam right up on the shoreline. We were sitting in 6-9 feet of water and worked that section three times. Fish were caught on watermelon/red senkos, flukes, and Lake Fork hyper sticks. You had to throw the bait right up against the bank and many times they were hitting it as soon as it touched the water. Also caught one nice fish on brown Spro frog. Tried a few shallow running crankbaits and chatterbait but not much success.
Lake is full and the ramp is easy to use. Lots of different moss and grass so you have to clean the trolling motor off after you make it out of the launch area and get into cleaner water.
Edit: Forgot to mention - it was overcast almost all day with a few rain drops here and there. Water temp was 67-69 degrees and the water was clear in most areas of the lake.
