Four of us fished Wednesday. On the water by 7, catching fish as we are leaving the cut that encompasses the boat dock. Boats are long, wide and roomy. Well equipped trolling motor, net, cooler and fish basket for culling. If you want to whine about something. It would be nice to have electronics unless you have someone draw you a map, thanks Dr.Jax!
And the boats seats aren't very padded. It didn't matter, most of the time you are standing because you're setting the hook or bending over to release another 5lber.
We totaled 95 fish between the four of us. Everyone had a top ten experience. Biggest was only 7 but we caught 8 over six another dozen over four….. They were eating 7 inch green pumpkin flash Senkos, You could get em to chase a chattershad or a skinny dipper when we had cloud cover.
We concentrated on the dam and east side main lake points but caught fish all over. The structure that was recently installed is visibly markedwith white poles extended from the shoreline. I didn't see that those areas or the feeder areas produced bigger fish but you get a little more excited when you see them because there's not much to look at otherwise.
There's not many bodies of water that you can easily put together a 33lb stringer but if we can do it, you can too, here at Caresend. There was no traffic @ 4:30 in the morning when we left Dallas and all I remember about the ride home was that my shoulder was sore and my thumb was torn up a bit. Sneak out there during the week like we did and it will be the best day "playing hooky" that you have ever had.
