Fingerling
Clint Whitlock and I fished the afternoon. Coontail is getting pretty thick. Water level is full.
We spent most of our time in the reeds and caught approx 8 bass - all were pretty chuncky in the 3/4 lb range. Mostly on jigs and worms. It is not easy fishing - quite a bit of cleaning the trolling motor, but fishable.
Borrowed a buzzbait from Clint near the end of the day. Had a big explosion and no hookup. I noticed when we were loading gear at the end of the day that the bait still had a hook guard on it from the factory! Never noticed when I tied it on.
Roads were in decent shape - 4x4 is not necessary, but a truck is. Big ruts. Still a good lake, just need to fish slow and stay in the reeds.
