My dad and I met in Marshall for a morning on Homeplace.  With barely a breeze, we decided that we prefer April to July!  The weeds and grass were thick on the northwest end and made trolling motor operations a test for the soul!  The rest of the lake was easy to navigate and we caught 23 to 3.8 lbs.  No monsters on this trip, bit it certainly reminded me how great the Heartland lakes are!
