I had the oppotunity to fish Canton Parker Branch for the first time Thusday morning July 30th. While we did not kill them, we did catch fish steadilly all morning. I did manage one fish that went 4 lbs. Please note that this lake is now 4 years old and a 9lb fish was caught from here 3 weeks ago. Moreover, please note that lodging includes 2 adults fishing for free from check in to check out (3 pm to 11 am). For $150 2 adults can fish and lodge, in one of the nicest (if not the nicest) cabin in the club. This is a real value! Flat screen TV and new furniture that looks like something from a furniture show room. This is a great place to take your wife for the weekend. Please book early and for a two night minimum for first Monday Canton Trade days. There is a boat and trolling motor for guests to use.

Steve,

My wife and I have been going to Parker Branch/China Grove every year for the last 6 years. It is one of our favorite locations. I remember when the landowner was digging our Parker Branch; glad it has produced a 9 pounder.
By chance did you fish the small pond right behind Parker Branch?

I did fish the small pond. Lost one fish that would have gone 4 or 5 lbs. Landowner told me a 6lber was caught earlier this year.

I was there flyfishing last Saturday morning. Very nice property. Caught a few mostly on poppers and the black and bluegill flies.
