Fished deer trail, caught roughly 40 in 5 hours, nothing bigger then 1.5 lbs, the fishing has slowed down here compared to last year. But can’t complain with the heat. 40 in 5 hours sounds pretty good compared to most.

In terms of numbers this is one of the better reports I have heard for the month of July. Reports of 100+ fish in Spring are common. So, 40 in 5 hours is awesome. That is a fish every 8 minutes. In fact, this is a lake I often recommend when someone asks, “where is your best numbers lake”. The sister property, Timber Lake is an awesome quality fish lake. Fishing both lakes for 1/2 day is an awesome way to spend the day.
