Fished the pm on 9/5 and found lake in good condition but water still a little off color in dam area.  Started with a rattletrap and had a couple of small fish right away.  While bringing in an 8" dink, there was a sudden flash of white and silver following the hooked fished but swirled away at the boat.  I know they always looked bigger until you get in your hands but this was a monster.  Looked to be well over two feet long.  Anyway after heart got back to normal rate finished the afternoon with over 30+ released up to 3lbs and brought home five nice crappie.  Many more small fish this trip than any other times to Bennett.  Also noted numerous fry and fingerlings cruising the moss.

As always a great trip to a great lake and visit with owners.  New gate is a great change especially when hot and tired after a day on the water and not having to get out to open and close.
