I had some friends down from Pennsylvania for a weekend of bass fishing and needless to say, these Texas bass blew their minds.  We fished a day and a half out at Marshall caught most of our bass on Home Place throwing Pop-Rs, weightless Senkos and shakey heads (green pumpkin)  just inside the lines of timber.  They were eager to take pictures of every three pound bass we caught and there was no convincing them of waiting for something bigger.  I had a six pounder at Leaky but the guys were having the most fun on Home Place so that's where we stayed most of the time.  We were catching 40-50 fish per boat on Home Place with most being smaller but these guys were eating it up.  We stayed at the lodge and Tommy cooked a huge meal for us with frog legs and fried fish filets with hush puppies and potatoes.  We finished the trip by hitting Caresend Lake on the way home in Mount Pleasant and the guys got to increase their PBs yet again.  The fish of the trip was right at eight pounds but the sheer number of fish we caught from start to finish was off the charts.  These guys have now had bass fishing ruined for them….  It was one of those trips that will be hard to duplicate.  A big thank you to our PWF crew that makes a trip like this possible.
